This is as Clean as my Studio gets! Paint permanently decorating the floor, clay stuck to the carpet, treadmill folded and gathering dust.........despite all of its obvious flaws, I love my Studio at the top of my house surrounded by acres of trees!

Thanks to all of my collectors friends who stopped at my table at Ghoultide, It was once again a Fabulous show!! Thanks to Scott Smith and Stephanie Rawson wonderful Artists and producers of this Great Show!

This is a picture of my table at the beginning, unfortunately I didn't take one at the end as we were in such a hurry to pack up. We had a 16 hour drive, and lots of cheese and fudge shops to stop at in Wisc!!

Finally took some pics of the big finished hags! My suv is packed, got some sleep last night, did laundry this morn, so off I go to Ghoultide!! 16 hour car ride with my sisters and niece, sounds like torture but its not! We have a blast, laugh the whole way and stop at every kitchy craft and collectible shop along the way!

Sorry for the delay in posting and listing hags! We celebrated our sons graduation from College on may 16th. Now hopefully a job with benefits will shortly follow :) Although he just found out he has mono, so that will delay the job search a bit. Too much stress, not enough sleep, not eating right during finals......not a good Idea!
My 17 year old son landed a little too hard on his wrist after a sweet skateboarding move and now sports a lovely cast. So as you can guess I have been more nursemaid than sculptor in the last week. Hopefully this week will be uneventful :)

Finally Paypal cleared things up!! They are so frustrating to work with...can't get anyone on the phone and it takes forever for them to answer email questions!! I think they randomly pick someone to mess with!! guess it was my turn!!
I am working on Witchlets this week, they are so much fun to make!! I had several half done and so hopefully this weekend will be listing 20 witchlets and spooklets. I can't decide if I should ebay them or etsy. Ebay seems really sluggish right now, but then it could be that I am selling Halloween hags in February!

I listed some new hags on Ebay Sunday!! Whoohoo!! O.k. Has anyone had issues with paypal?? I have used them for over five years, never had a problem until now. Apparently either a buyer or her bank reversed a payment made to me for a Witch that was won on Ebay. Of course I had already shipped the hag as the reversal didn't come until 10 days after the auction!! So now I am out 300 dollars and a witch. The case is still pending but from what I have read they never side with the seller! Sorry just had to vent!!

Hi All! Well its been over a week since the Ghoultide Gathering show and I am finally back in my studio, sketching my new pieces, Sculpting, listing on ebay and trying to clean this PIT!! The Show was a fabulous success, even better than last year and I came home with very few pieces!! Scott Smith of Rucus Studio and Stephanie and Vaughn Rawson of the Whimsical Whittler put on a tremendous show!! Perfect location, great advertising and the best selection of original Halloween art. My Thanks to them and all of the Great artists, and collectors at the Show!

Hi All!! I am Back!!! After several months of not being able to log on to my blog account, we have things figured out and I am able to post on here again! I Have been busy getting sketches done for the Ghoultide show in October, and listing a few pieces on Ebay.
We are anxiously waiting for our son to return from Ireland. He has been studying at the Burren College of art this semester and has been gone since Jan. 1.
I have been exploring bas relief sculpture, altered art jewelry and miniature witches. Look for some fun funky pieces coming on ebay!!

WoW!! Back from the Michigan Halloween Show "Ghoutide Gathering"!! What A great Gathering of Artists and collectors!! I am happy to say I came home with very few pieces and several new friends! On One side of me Debra Schoch of HopHopJingleBoo

The people were lined up before 8 am, and by 9:30 I had sold a big chunk of my inventory! Across the way sat Pat Murphy and her husband, I have long admired her bears and they are so much better up close!! also across from me was Vaughn and Stephanie Rawson of the Whimsical Whittler http://www.whimsicalwhittler.com/index1.php Their Halloween carvings were phenominal!! I also met Carolee Clark of King of Mice studios http://www.kingofmice.com/aaa/Home.htm Her paintings were fabulous and flying from her diplay!! Paul Gordon was also there with his magical pieces!! He was a hoot! I met so many other Artist and collectors! I apologize if I haven't mentioned you!! It was a wonderful gathering and I am looking forward to next years show!!

Sorry I know it has been months since I have updated!! I am really bad at this, I get busy, start a hundred projects, run to all of the activities my kids are involved in and never seem finish anything these days!! Well my Daughter graduated from high school, my oldest Son moved home from college for the summer and my other two Sons are over scheduled for the next three months!! How does everyone do it??
Anyway, I am still working on some Sketches for the show in Michigan, and hopefully getting my piece done for the June pfatt marketplace.

Well Good news on the college search!! Abbey was offered a huge scholarship to MCAD (Minneapolis College of Art And Design) and so that is where she will hang her hat next year!! This is the same college that her brother attends, so whether he likes it or not he will have his little sister underfoot once again! It is a huge relief to have that decision made and all the paperwork processed.
I have decided to participate in a fabulous new Halloween Show, Ghoultide Gatherings!! I am so Excited and am getting sketches done and a schedule made so I can have enough pieces done for that show plus FolkWorks Gallery Halloween show! Here is the link to these websites:

Abbeys Senior Pictures

I decided to save a little money on senior pictures for Abbey and took them myself. With the quality of digital cameras and photo editing programs anyone can do it! I found a great site online to print the pictures and they have an active forum over there with photography tips and tricks. Mpix.com
We are in the middle of a glorious snowstorm here!! I love this weather!! the best time to lock myself in my studio and sculpt, no interuptions!! I am working on a mixed media piece that involves a metal witch hat looking thing(found in the farm machinery graveyard), and 8 sculpted paperclay Witches. I am taking work-in-progress pictures. here is the first!

Sorry I have been lazy about posting!! My Daughter was accepted at Art School, got all of her paperwork done, and now the sadness sets in!! I know they have to leave my house and have their own lives, but it happens way to fast for me!! We have been hit with the flu here so not much done creatively. I did happen to list a tiny witch on ebay and am working on a Funky Sculpture that will be listed hopefully in March.

My Daughter submits her portfolio tommorrow for Art School and we have several other schools to check out! I am nervous for her, but excited! My Son attends the same Art school and really loves it. For years I have tried to launch a website, had good intentions, but just never finished one and never had any of my art available for sale. Between the pieces I send to FolkWorks Gallery, Ebay, and now starting this month Pfatt Marketplace, I have never have enough to list on a website!! Someone suggested blogging as an alternative, and here we are!! I am really excited about being a part of Pfatt and all of the fun those wacky gals have! I am a member of an Ebay group, Ehag (Eclectic Halloween Artists Group) a Great Group of Halloween artists. I am also planning ahead and contemplating being a part of a Fabulous New Halloween Show near Detroit Mich. Details later!
